Establishes and evaluates appropriate treatment plans Identifies appropriate treatment outcomes and duration of treatment, in conjunction with the physician Implements the therapy plan Manages a caseload and provides physical therapy services to homebound patients, as prescribed by the physician Monitors the effect of therapy services on the patient/family health status Makes referrals and plans for discharge, as appropriate Appraises services provided and the need for revision of goals and approaches to patient care. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing in a caring, considerate, and concerned manner. Ability to direct ancillary staff and organize work assignments. Leadership skills essential to the position. Must be skilled in a broad range of modalities with a clear understanding of indications and contraindicating of each. Familiar with the indications and use of equipment. Guides, teaches, and supervises students. | ||||
